Fleet Mechanic

Position Overview

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery. This role ensures that all vehicles are in safe, operational condition, and repairs are completed in a timely manner. The Fleet Mechanic will also be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and communicating repair needs to the Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance; inspections, oil changes, and other repairs on fleet vehicles including trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and lawn equipment.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to driveline, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and electronic components.
• Perform welding and cutting torch operations as needed.
• Properly document all repairs and maintenance activities in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of fleet maintenance/mechanic experience required.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required.
• Experience with Fleetio preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must have basic tools (we provide secure storage)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Desired Exprience

• General Knowledge of the Landscape Business and Lawn Care Maintenance
• Availability to Work Overtime As Needed
• Ability to run and general knowledge of all commercial landscape equipment
• Strong Work Ethic and Attention to Detail
• Self Motivated to Accurately Perform Work and Represent OFS Professionally
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Data Entry Skills and Ability to work in a Team Environment and Alone
